Kozel Bílý Lehký – new, light alternative in Kozel’s portfolio

In response to the growing popularity of low-alcohol beers, the Kozel brand owned by Kompania Piwowarska introduces a new beer variant to its offer. Kozel Bílý Lehký is the latest proposal from the leader of the beer industry in Poland, which perfectly fits into current consumer trends.

    – More and more often, consumers opt for beers with reduced alcohol content, which stems from the desire to avoid binge drinking, known as the "moderation" trend. Non-alcoholic or low-alcohol beers are consistently gaining popularity. Therefore, we have introduced a new, light variant of Kozel into our product family called Kozel Bílý Lehký – says Maria Hejmanowska, Kozel Brand Manager.

Kozel Bílý Lehký is characterized by a light haze, delicate aroma, mild bitterness and, at the same time, a subtle aftertaste. With the alcohol content reduced by 30% (3.5% ABV) compared to lager beer (5.2% ABV), and a refreshing taste, Kozel Bílý Lehký aligns with consumer trends and expectations. It is the second beer in the Kozel brand, alongside Kozel Černý, to join the specialty segment. Thanks to its intriguing flavour profile, it is ideal for the sunny season as well as whenever you simply crave a light beer.

The beer is available in 500ml returnable bottles and cans in stores and gastronomic venues across Poland, as well as e-commerce. The new variant will receive strong support in the form of a 360° campaign, including TV, digital, social media, OOH, DOOH, and in-store promotion through POSM, consumer magazines, sampling activities, as well as during events.

The Czech-style beer brand called Kozel entered the Polish market in 2015. Since then, it has gradually won the hearts of Poles with three beer variants: Kozel Ležák, Kozel Černý, and Kozel 0.0% - the non-alcoholic version. The portfolio is now joined by the low-alcohol alternative - Kozel Bílý Lehký.
