Kompania Piwowarska teams up with the Kobiety w Centrum Association to empower women’s development

To mark Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, Kompania Piwowarska is summarizing yet another year of partnership with the Kobiety w Centrum (Women at the Centre) Association — an organization committed to fostering equality, skills development, and boosting women’s confidence across all aspects of life. In 2025, as part of the “I Am Strong” initiative, 33 workshop sessions were held across eight provinces of Poland, bringing together more than a thousand women.

Even though many women in Poland declare to have the skills needed to run their own business, in practice they are often held back by psychological barriers. According to the Polish Economic Institute’s “Business in Heels” report, as many as 47% of Polish women fear failure, and women – far more often than men – feel that they are “not ready yet,” even when they have the necessary knowledge. Many also point to a lack of social support and low confidence in their entrepreneurial abilities. This is why initiatives like the “I Am Strong” project are so essential. They directly address the needs of female entrepreneurs by providing knowledge, practical tools, and psychological empowerment.

Equal opportunities and real support — not only in big cities

The goal of the project is to level the playing field and ensure that women have access to professional training regardless of where they live or their social background. The events brought together participants from Poland’s major cities, including Warsaw, Rzeszów and Łódź, as well as small towns, municipalities and rural areas. Among them were leaders of NGOs, farmers, teachers, local government representatives, entrepreneurs, activists, journalists and members of local institutions.

Our mission is to empower women so they never have to give up opportunities simply because they are women. We want them to recognize their own potential, build confidence, and make the most of their abilities in professional, social and business life. Thanks to Kompania Piwowarska’s support, we can bring this message to women from diverse backgrounds and regions across the country – says Agnieszka Adamkiewicz, President of the Łódź Branch of Kobiety w Centrum.

Through this partnership, Kompania Piwowarska supported the association both financially and by involving its employees in skills-based volunteering. In 2025, a total of four coaches contributed to the project, leading workshops in Warsaw, Sierpc and Rzeszów dedicated to topics such as mediation, public speaking, negotiation and influence techniques.

    - At Kompania Piwowarska, we believe that diversity is a strength and equal opportunities are the foundation of healthy social development. That’s why we support initiatives aimed at helping women strengthen their skills, courage and agency – also in business. The “I Am Strong” project provides a space for meaningful change and delivers significant social value – says Krzysztofa Bełz, Sustainable Development Manager at Kompania Piwowarska.

    Real support, tangible results

As part of the 2025 edition of the “I Am Strong” project, 33 development workshops and conferences were held across eight Polish provinces, led by around 40 mentors, gathering 1,136 female participants. Running from January to October, the workshops covered a wide range of topics, including personal growth, mental health, cancer prevention, self-confidence, stress management, and building inner strength.

In the bigger picture, since 2023 the Kobiety w Centrum Association has organized a total of 75 workshops, attended by nearly 3,000 women. These sessions have helped participants develop their skills, build self-confidence, and gain the tools needed to achieve their professional and personal goals. Through its partnership with Kompania Piwowarska, the association can extend this support to women from a wide range of backgrounds, fostering real change, the exchange of experiences, and the courage to embrace new challenges.
