Award for Kompania Piwowarska’s CSR Report in the 13th edition of the “Social Reports” competition

“Sustainable Development Report. Our contribution to the implementation of Agenda 2030” by Kompania Piwowarska received an award in this year’s edition of the prestigious “Social Reports” competition. This way the jury showed recognition for the Report’s accessible and brief form, key information, educational value and courage to tackle the difficult subject of environment impact. This was the only award granted this year in the category of social reports.

For the eighth time now, Kompania Piwowarska has been recognized by the jury of the competition for the way it reports on its CSR activities. This year, 45 information packs were submitted to the competition for the best reports on corporate social responsibility. The jury gave awards in five categories: integrated report, social report, journalists’ jury award, non-business organization report award, and best debut award. In the last two categories there were no prizes awarded.

In this report we use UN’s objectives as the starting point for the presentation of our sustainable development activities. In pursuing our sustainable development strategy in the areas of products and health, people and society, and the environment, we are meeting 13 out of 17 objectives of UN’s “Agenda 2030”. We are pleased to note that the jury of the competition appreciated that we present these complex issues in a simple and clear way”. – comments Grzegorz Adamski, Public Affairs and Sustainable Development Manager at the Kompania Piwowarska.

Kompania Piwowarska’s 11th CSR Report presents activities KP carried out in 2018 which had real impact on the fulfillment of UN’s Sustainable Development Objectives. Some of them are:

    • In the area of environment protection – one of the best results in the industry in terms of water consumption for beer production – 2.64 hl of water per 1 hl of beer in 2018. About the “Social Reports” competition

Since 2007, this competition, organized by the Responsible Business Forum, has been awarding best prepared reports on corporate social responsibility. Thereby, it promotes the idea of corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainable development, environmental protection and social involvement, draws attention to the importance of non-financial reporting, indicates good practices in this area, and finally contributes to the transparency of an organization’s activities and engaging in a dialog with stakeholders.

In the 13th edition of the “Social Reports” competition, the main prize for the social report was awarded to Santander Bank, the second prize for the integrated report to Orange Polska, and the main prize for the integrated report to LPP.
