Pilsner Urquell launches an interactive beer centre in Prague: The Original Beer Experience

The Czech Republic’s leading beer brand launched Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience. Located in the heart of Prague, this interactive place offers an unusual perspective on the history of the world’s very first pilsner beer. The venue is already open for visitors.

Located in the historic City Palais building at the Wenceslas Square, Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience has become a mandatory stop on the touristic map of Prague. The venue is equipped with numerous attractions, which draw from the rich history, while using the latest technologies. All that to provide the visitors with unforgettable experiences.

When visiting the centre, the guests will have a chance to learn about the history of beer and the Pilsner Urquell brand owned by Kompania Piwowarska, as well as Czech and local masters who contributed to the development of brewing. Moreover, they will dive into the process of brewing the iconic Czech beer and get an insight into its original recipe, while using all their senses to experience the ingredients it is made from – hops, malt and water. People visiting Pilsner Urquell: The Original Beer Experience can also enjoy some specially prepared interactive games. The spaces have been arranged in a way that allowed the organizers to replicate the place pilsner was first brewed in the city of Pilsen, as accurately as possible.

Inside the building, there’s a separate space called Beer Hall, where guests can have a taste of the pilsner beer brewed according to a 180-year-old recipe. Additionally, they will get the opportunity to admire the skills of experienced tapsters, i.e. professional bartenders specializing in pouring this beverage. For the real fans of the brand, Pilsner Urquell has also prepared the Tapster Academy, as part of which, under the watchful eye of experts, the participants will learn the extraordinary art of pouring beer and the three Czech ways of serving it: Hladinka, Mliko and Snyt.
