Kompania Piwowarska teams up with champions, extending its partnership with KKS Lech Poznań and GKS Tychy
Kompania Piwowarska’s brands Lech Pils and Tyskie are extending their collaboration with two renowned football clubs – KKS Lech Poznań and GKS Tychy. The renewed long-standing partnerships have been built on shared values, local identity, and a winning mindset – both on and off the pitch.
Lech Pils and Lech Poznań continue playing together
Two brands from the heart of the Wielkopolska region – Lech Pils and KKS Lech Poznań – continue over a decade-long partnership. The new agreement, covering the next three seasons, will remain in force until the end of June 2028 and reaffirms the role of Lech Pils as a key partner of the Kolejorz club.
- The partnership between Lech Pils and KKS Lech Poznań goes far beyond business cooperation – above all, it’s about a shared history, passion for football, and strong connections with the local community. For years, we’ve supported the club, its fans and the entire city. Our shared values unite us in everyday work and at the stadium – says Paweł Drubkowski, Lech Brand Director.
The cooperation between Lech Pils and the club dates back to 2012 and includes not only support for the team’s day-to-day sporting activities, but also fan-oriented initiatives that bring people together and promote local pride.
- It’s been more than twelve years of partnership with Lech Pils, and we’re proud to work with a partner so deeply rooted in Poznań. Over this time, we’ve carried out many joint initiatives focused on fans and residents, including the ‘Moving the Legend to Bułgarska Station’ project. We’re confident that the coming years will be just as fruitful and will allow us to bring the Wielkopolska community even closer together – says Marcin Grotkiewicz, B2B Director at KKS Lech Poznań.
Lech Browary Wielkopolski, owned by Kompania Piwowarska, continues over a century of brewing tradition in Poznań. Today, the brewery ranks among Europe’s most technologically advanced facilities, producing both the classic Lech beers and the local symbol of Wielkopolska – Lech Pils.
Tyskie’s unwavering support for GKS Tychy
Having been deeply connected to GKS Tychy and the city itself for years, the Tyskie brand extends its partnership with the tri-coloured team. The new agreement, including the hockey and basketball sections, will remain in effect until the end of June 2026. This strengthens Tyskie’s long-standing collaboration with local clubs, which it has been supporting for generations. Earlier this year, in June, Tyskie announced the extension of its partnership with the GKS Tychy Football Club.
- The partnership between Tyskie and GKS Tychy is aimed at building a strong local community based on sport, passion, and pride in being part of the city. For years, we’ve shared a close connection with the club, its fans, and the entire city. Tyskie and Tychy are one. We want to continue bringing people together through the excitement of sport and shared values – says Wojciech Szerszeń, Tyskie Brand Manager.
- We’re thrilled that Tyskie continues to play on our team. This is a strong and proven partnership that has lasted for many years and holds great significance for our club. Thanks to this exemplary collaboration, we can support all sections of GKS Tychy, invest in the club’s development, and pursue our goals. What matters most in both sport and brewing is consistency, teamwork and the pursuit of excellence. These are the values that unite our club and the Tyskie brand – says Krzysztof Trzosek, Press Officer of GKS Tychy.
The sponsorship of GKS Tychy fits in Kompania Piwowarska and Tyskie’s broader local engagement, as both consider Tychy a real home. Established in 1629, the Tyskie Browary Książęce brewery is not only a cornerstone of the city but also a symbol of Polish brewing heritage. Today, the Tyskie brand actively supports local initiatives and invites residents and visitors to explore the facility, including its visitor centre, the Pod Browarem pub, and a museum showcasing the tradition of one of Poland’s oldest breweries.
