I define my role at Kompania Piwowarska through the prism of two aspects – sales and
business intelligence, which I have been interested in for a long time, and my professional
path clearly proves they are related. I started as Sales Support Specialist, which requires the
ability to think analytically. Over the next few year, I worked as Sales Analyst, and that job
turned out to be of key importance for my career. In this difficult but developmental time, I
found out that I enjoy analytics and I am good at my job. I also realized that in order to
successfully perform entrusted tasks, I must understand the business and its needs. I was
able to get that as a result of close cooperation with my colleagues from the sales team, so I
could successfully tackle business challenges and create solutions for them with the use of
my analytical skills.
This combination has brought me to where I am today and given me the opportunity to
create an effective analytical team within the sales department. Obviously, I was not alone in
this process. It was a team effort to create the vision of who we want to be, how we want to
work, grow, and what will make us stand out against the organization. I believe that the work
we did then still brings benefits today, and the people who were involved in the process,
regardless of which team they work in or project they execute, displayed great
professionalism, and the results of their work are of the highest quality.
Sales is the perfect area for easy-going, sociable people, focused on taking initiative and
pursuing goals, who have the ability to make quick decisions and a positive attitude towards
Sales departments offer countless contests and rankings incentivizing employees to perform
better and better. However, not everyone is made for that type of work. That’s why I believe
that everyone can work in the sales department, but the job is not for everyone.
My participation and victory in the PNSA competition in 2021 and everything that has
happened since, constituted a challenge and another step in my professional development.
To prepare for the competition, I had to stop and reflect on my previous achievements. But
winning and receiving the main prize – studies at the Kozminski University – marked the
beginning of a new adventure and growth journey in the area of sales, leadership and self-
development. It was incredibly inspiring and transformed my way of thinking and acting, in
both my private and professional life.
Now, I embark on another journey as a member of the PNSA Jury. I have no doubts that it
will be an interesting experience; firstly, because I will gain knowledge of the assessment
criteria, and secondly – I will meet the contestants and their achievements, which might
provide inspiration to introduce changes to our work and organization.
My advice for people who would like to take part in the PSNA competition, an event that
integrates the marketeer and sales manager environments and promotes modern standards
of professional sales and customer service: make the effort to prepare for the competition,
because winning it can give you a great development opportunity – in terms of your
personality, career and competencies.
