XWhat is the cache for?

The cache facilitates, stores and makes it possible to send the articles of your interest. These articles can be sent to any E-mail address as PDF files.

You add content to the cache by means of a button placed in the yellow bar (left hand site) above the article.

You will find the box with the news you added under the left menu. You will see the titles of 10 latest articles.

After entering the cache you will find a list of all added articles and a panel for sending them out.

Due to frequent E-mail box limits you cannot send more than four PDF articles.

NB: the cache stores in memory selected articles until you switch off the Internet browser.

“In Tune with Nature” is an eco-education programme for Kompania Piwowarska employees launched in 2007; it follows the sprit of the time and is transferred to malepiwo.net, a social networking website for KP employees. The programme is also famous for the “Green Wardrobe” events.

For years, Kompania Piwowarska has been consistently involved in environmental protection. In line with the company’s chief idea "think globally, act locally", even the slightest traces of environmental behaviour may positively affect our environment. For over three years Kompania Piwowarska has been involved in a comprehensive ecological project for the employees dubbed "In Tune with Nature".

“In Tune with Nature” programme

“In Tune with Nature” is a programme targeted at the employees of Kompania Piwowarska; it was originated as an extension of the company’s policy on environmental protection. “In Tune with Nature” has set itself a challenging target of giving ecology a human touch. The programme employs elements of humour and surprise; it is underpinned by authorities in the realm of recycling and environmental protection. Its goal is to encourage the employees and their families to reduce waste and to purposefully segregate it, save water, energy and heat at home.

Katarzyna Wilczewska, a public affairs manager for KP, explained: 
“Processes and procedures are not everything; we want all employees of Kompania Piwowarska to act environmentally both at work and at home, including their families. “In Tune with Nature” programme shows them how to take care of the natural environment by adopting an individual attitude”.

“A green man” on the social networking website

“In Tune with Nature” follows the sprit of the time and is transferred to malepiwo.net, a social networking website for KP employees. To be more precise, they are logged in by their representative – a big fan of ecology, a “GREEN MAN”. A group established by the Green Man (called “In Tune with Nature”), every KP employee may read, comment on and describe environmental trivia, recipes, trips or issues related to children.

The group is divided into 4 chief sections:

  • Environmental trivia
  • Travels and trips
  • Eco cooking
  • For children

The “Green Man” also writes his eco-blog where he presents his thoughts and in-depth articles on environmental issues.

Contents of the eco-website

“In Tune with Nature” materials placed on the malepiwo.net website show how, oblivious to the fact, we tend to waste energy by leaving telephone chargers on, electric appliances on standby, boiling the kettle over and over again, switching washing machines on half-empty, airing flats in an uneconomic and ineffective way, cooling them down rather than exchanging the air.

Katarzyna Wilczewska ensures:
“There are many examples and they seem obvious; however, they make us think before we throw out a plastic bottle without crashing it or we will hesitate before we carelessly toss out used batteries. What is more, ecology pays off: when you use less energy you pay smaller bills.

“The Green Wardrobe”

“The Green Wardrobe” is among the most popular events of the ‘In Tune with Nature’ programme; it consists in recycling clothes and accessories. The meetings are attended by ladies from KP, their female friends and fashion specialists who advise on hair, cosmetics or bra fitting.
“I am a big fan of any environmental ideas; I propagate ecology and enjoy people devoting their precious time to get involved in initiatives meant for others. The other goal of the “Green Wardrobe” i.e. charity, is very much to my liking”, confessed Kasia Sudoł, an attendee of the event, an employee of the legal department and added: “ The Green Wardrobe is my dream come true!!!”
